The intuitive, user-driven online portal ensures budtenders are familiar with cannabis products and deliver good customer service

Budtenders will be able to work through a number of courses on cannabis 101 topics, brand products and processes, as part of their certification

Inc () (OTCMKTS:EURPF) (FSE:3CMA) revealed Thursday that it has finalized a pact with a fast-growing cannabis company which has a billion-dollar market cap, to develop its online education portal, used by hundreds of cannabis retailers, and employees across Canada.

In a statement, the Canadian cannabis education and analytics firm said the budtender portal was designed to help knowledge retention by having each user take a quiz after each module. After taking a final course exam, budtenders earn an e-learning certificate as proof that they have completed the course.

"Through EuroLife's technology division, we are uniquely positioned to deliver an intuitive, user-driven online portal with the required level of education to ensure budtenders are familiar with cannabis products and deliver a high level of customer service relating to the cannabis company's products," said EuroLife CEO Shawn Moniz.

"We are pleased to partner with a leading cannabis company to deliver a refreshed budtender education portal. Continuous education is valuable in all industries and cannabis is no exception,” he added.

Moniz said retailers striving to deliver high quality will be able to “complement” existing training programs with the company’s budtender portal.

EuroLife has leveraged the skills of its design and technology teams to design and develop a budtender education portal which will not only include product information but educative articles on topics ranging from cannabis taxonomy to responsible usage, and a strong focus on vaping.

Platform has interactive elements

The platform has interactive elements to boost learning with detailed analytics, options for gamification and social elements such as shareable completion badges. Once launched, legal cannabis retailers across Canada will have the opportunity to direct employees to the platform to learn in more detail about brands, while increasing their knowledge of cannabis through visually stimulating educational content, said the company.

Budtenders will register for access to the portal through a secure online application process and once accepted, they will be able to begin working through a number of courses on cannabis 101 topics, brand products and processes, as part of their certification.

According to the company, the Canada-wide budtender learning portal is expected to be launched in the first quarter of 2020.

Significantly, development and maintenance fees for the online portal will contribute strongly to the financial metrics of the group of companies.

Stock options

Separately, the company said it granted incentive stock options to buy 3,300,000 shares at an exercise price of $0.05 per share for a period of two years to certain directors and officers.
