The Test Kit analyzes hundreds of genes and over 550,000 single nucleotide polymorphisms in humans

Holdings Corp () (OTCMKTS:HERTF) launched its EndoDNA Test Kit in Canada on Wednesday through its partly owned subsidiary Endocanna Health Inc.

The Test Kit analyzes hundreds of genes and over 550,000 single nucleotide polymorphisms in humans to generate a personalized report showing how a person’s genetic makeup is affected by cannabinoids and terpenes.

The report will help individuals to pick more personalized cannabis products and help them choose formulation, dosage and the best delivery method for their own needs.

"With millions of cannabis consumers coming into the new legal market each year, EndoDNA aims to bring confidence through education, and to guide cannabis consumers to an optimal health and wellness experience,” said Len May, Endocanna’s CEO.

EndoDNA aims to give consumers a scientific alternative to trial-and-error selection or crowd-sourced buying, May told shareholders.

"Everyone has a unique response to THC, CBD and all other cannabinoids; no two people will have the same exact experience,” May said. “This makes it particularly challenging for new consumers with finding the right product for their specific needs.”

The kits will be available for purchase online and can submit a saliva swap for analysis. Users may also be able to use reports generated from other DNA testing kits to upload their raw data to the EndoDNA test.

Heritage CEO Clint Sharples said the launch of EndoDNA in Canada is part of the parent company’s wider strategy to utilize science to expand the company’s medical offerings in the country.

"We are excited to bring EndoDNA to Canada and to provide individuals with the tools, resources, and most up-to-date science and research available, to make confident, smart decisions when incorporating cannabis into their lives,” Sharples said in a statement.

Heritage holds a 30% state in Endocanna Health Inc.
