“Having AJ Gentile, the CEO of 2083 Group, come on board signifies the importance of the impending partnership between our two companies, and we expect to bring the proposed transaction of taking a minority stake in 2083 Group to a successful close very soon,” said Cam Birge, independent director of the board in a statement.

Birge was re-elected to the board along with Dieter MacPherson and Robert Allen at the company’s annual general meeting in April 2019.

Board members Richard Polanco and Christian Scovenna did not stand for re-election. Scovenna, the company’s senior vice president of corporate finance, will continue in his role within the executive management team.

"We are truly grateful to both Richard Polanco and Christian Scovenna for their contributions to our board, and we welcome our new members Gary Latham and AJ Gentile as they embark on their new roles,” Birge said. “I believe we have assembled an exceptional group to oversee the Company, and I look forward to working with our established and new members.”

"We truly appreciate the contributions he has made in bringing the Company to where it is today and his efforts to position High Hampton for future growth. I wish him all the best for his future as an instrumental figure in the cannabis industry."
